I have fond memories of Bingo, as a child I played it every year at Auntie Kath's. Every Christmas Eve we would go to my Auntie Kath's, meet up with my mother's relatives and play Bingo. Auntie Kath was mum's sister and had no children of her own, so she loved to spoil us all! She spent many happy years delivering letters for the Post Office, but I can only remember her being retired. However, she would put on the most fantastic buffets and after we had eaten and had a chat, it was Bingo time!

All the prizes were bought and selected by Auntie Kath. There were always prizes for young and old. What a great way to start your Christmas! My father was nearly always the caller, so he rarely got to play Bingo. He never complained, as he was one of the best dads you could wish for, his joy came from watching other people win - especially his children!

Thank you Auntie Kath for such happy Bingo memories! I hope you haven't been bored by my tale. I haven't any time to play Bingo myself, but wish you the best of luck for a full house. You never know Auntie Kath might be looking over your shoulder, if she is you're bound to be lucky!!
